John Isgro is thrilled to be back forecasting where his meteorology career began, right here in South Jersey. Many of you may remember John from his days at WMGM-TV, where he began as a cameraman collecting the news in the field and then worked his way up to weekday weather anchor. During his time John enjoyed getting to know the residents of South Jersey. One of his favorite parts of the job was getting to know the people in the community, whether it was giving classroom talks about weather or just a casual conversation with a neighbor or at the checkout counter of the local supermarket.
John left WMGM-TV in mid-2000 to pursue an acting career that landed him numerous roles in commercials, independent feature films and off-Broadway. He returned to forecasting in 2005 in Binghamton, NY at NewsChannel34, then returned to WMGM the following year as the morning meteorologist. John has also brought his skills to the News12 Networks in the NYC area as a freelance meteorologist for the past several years. But it was his time at WMGM where he worked alongside Michelle and Matt that has led him back to the role of Weekend Meteorologist at the ThreadSJ, where he can once again deliver forecasts to the area and the people he grew to know and love.
