Calm Before The Storm

After a few showers this morning South Jersey will enjoy a couple rather quiet days weather wise with some sunshine returning this afternoon and plenty of sunshine on Wednesday. It will be a breezy day though so look for wind chills this afternoon to never make it out of the 30s.

Our main weather feature this week will be a strong area of low pressure and cold front that will approach on Christmas Eve. Ahead of the front temperatures soar all the way up to 60 degrees! It looks like rain develops during the day Thursday with heavy rain and even a couple thunderstorm overnight Thursday night. We could be looking at another 1-2 inches of rain with this system by Friday morning. Behind the front temperatures tumble on Christmas day with morning highs in the upper 30s, falling to near freezing during the afternoon. We could even see a few snowflakes blowing through the air during the afternoon hours. And then we are in the deep freeze this upcoming weekend.
