Nothing screams good morning like a great cup of coffee - and maybe a little breakfast on the side. But let's face it, how many of us are guilty of constantly spending our paychecks on those national chains like Starbucks or Dunkin'? Not that there's anything wrong with that, but it is 2021, and now more than ever we know how important it is to support our neighbors. In an effort to shop local, we've listed a few of our favorite coffee spots in South Jersey - just in time to help us transition back into our fall season school and work schedules. Not only do all of our picks provide you with extensive options to get your caffeine fix, but they also offer some pretty delicious fare as well.
Barista's Coffee House - Linwood
This little shop on the corner, located in Linwood's Central Square, is a fan favorite here at The Thread SJ. As explained by the owners themselves, they welcome all customers ranging from your typical soccer moms, artists, intellectuals, and students, just to name a few. With its diverse crowd of customers and its small town feel, Barista's is the perfect place to hang out, grab some great food, and start off your day. Whether you stop by for breakfast, lunch, or dessert (may we suggest their Signature Caramel Apple Pecan Pie or Chocolate Gnash Lava Cake?) - this coffee hot spot does not disappoint. Check out their menu for yourself.
Eis Cafe Europa & Tiki Tree - Northfield
Looking for something sweet? Be sure to check out Eis Cafe Europa & Tiki Tree on Tilton Road in Northfield. Located at the former Yogurt Swirls, this place has become a welcomed part of the community. From coffee, tea, and crepes, to waffles, paninis and acai bowls, this place has some unique dishes that appeal to international tastes; especially with the cafe's gelato which is made with ingredients from Montebianco Italy. If that wasn't enough to sell you on making a trip, be sure to check out some pics of their online menu. Your tastebuds will thank you. https://eiscafeeuropa.com
