Parts of South Jersey saw flooding conditions on Thursday as much of the region saw anywhere from 2 to 4 inches of rain when all was said and done. Atlantic City set a record with 3.97 inches of rain for the day, breaking the old record of 1.21 inches set in 2018. Happily the heavy rains are moving away and we should begin to dry out this afternoon.
The cold front responsible for the rain is slowly moving off the coast this morning. There will be some lingering showers throughout the morning but we should see some sunshine returning by this afternoon as high pressure begins to take over. Two very different days weather wise are coming for the weekend. Saturday will feature plenty of sunshine with breezy and cooler highs in the mid 70s. Sunday we are warming back up to around 80 degrees, but the trade off is clouds return with showers and thunderstorms likely by afternoon. I hope everyone has a great weekend!!
