Flash Flood Watch

Hello South Jersey we've hit the middle of your work week and we have also hit the day where the weather really begins to go downhill. A flash flood watch is in effect today for all the counties you see highlighted in green across western portions of our area. Widespread showers and thunderstorms are likely this afternoon, some of which will produce torrential downpours. The rain, combined with recent heavy rain we have seen, may be enough to trigger flash flooding in some locations, so be sure to use extra caution today if you are caught driving in one of those thunderstorms.

Unfortunately it looks like the unsettled weather is going to be here to stay for the next several days. A frontal boundary will slow to a crawl near our region, keeping the threat for showers and thunderstorms with us right into the upcoming weekend. So grab that umbrella as you head out the door, it may be your best friend for the next few days. Have a great Wednesday!
