Grab the Umbrella!

A cloudy Friday is on the way and the weather will be going downhill as a developing coastal storm is expected to bring another round of heavy rain and gusty winds to South Jersey. Showers are possible at any point today but it looks like a steadier rain begins to develop later today and then that rain becomes heavy at times overnight tonight and right into the day Saturday. We should be looking at another 1-2 inches of rain, with the highest amounts expected along the coast. We have seen several rounds of heavy rain recently so with more rain expected we will need to keep an eye out for some localized areas of flooding as the ground is already saturated in many areas.

In addition to the heavy rain strong winds could create problems, especially near the coast. We could see winds there gusting up to 45 mph later tonight and Saturday which may be enough to bring down a few trees and power lines, so power outages may become a problem as well. The bright spot is we dry out for the second half of the weekend with sunshine expected on Sunday. Stay dry and have a great weekend everyone!
