Grab Your Umbrella!
Hello South Jersey! The hot and humid weather we saw across the area on Thursday remains in place for today as we once again see some sunshine, along with plenty of heat and humidity. We do run the risk for a few thunderstorms this afternoon and evening and that risk increases as we head into the overnight hours and into Saturday.
Speaking of Saturday that will definitely be a day to make some indoor plans as we have 2 weather systems affecting our area. The remnants of Laura will pass by just to our south. Meanwhile a cold front will be approaching from the west by evening. Between the two we are looking at rain, heavy at times, along with a few drenching thunderstorms. Some localized flooding is possible in those areas that see over 2 inches of rain, but in general I think 1-2 inches of total precipitation is likely for most.
The cold front sweeps everything off the coast and we see a bit of an autumn preview to start next week with much less humidity and high temperatures only the 70s! A little something to look forward to once the rain moves out. Have a great weekend everyone!
