Severe Weather, Part 2
Hello South Jersey and the first half of your weekend will be far from picture perfect as the remnants of once Hurricane Laura combines with a strong cold front to bring periods of rain and more severe weather to our area. Friday evening we saw part 1 of the severe weather as every single county in South Jersey was under a severe thunderstorm warning at some point. Today we once again run the risk of severe thunderstorms with damaging winds and even a brief tornado or two is possible. Heavy rain could lead to localized areas of flooding as well so you definitely need to use some extra caution if you plan on being out and about today.
The payoff comes on Sunday as the heat, humidity and precipitation is all swept off the coast overnight tonight and behind the cold front, sunshine returns for the second half of your weekend with high temperatures only in the upper 70s! Until then, be safe and make sure you keep your umbrella close at hand through this evening.
