Storm #1 Today
What do they say about rainy days and Monday's? Well we have that today as a storm system will be passing by to our south, spreading rain across the region throughout the day. That rain will come down heavy at times and we could see another inch or more of rain when all is said and done. Colder air will be moving in this afternoon as well so some of that rain could mix with wet snow before ending over inland areas, and I can't rule out the possibility of a coating of snow on grassy surfaces but roadways should just remain wet.
Looking down the road a nice Tuesday is on the way with sunshine but cold temperatures in the 30s. Then a winter storm watch is in effect for inland areas Wednesday into Thursday as a second storm approaches the region. Exactly where the rain/snow line sets up and how much snow we are talking about will be determined, but one thing we know is that coastal areas will take a beating with gale forced winds, tidal flooding and beach erosion likely. Much more on the Wednesday storm coming up later today. Be safe and stay dry out there!
