Welcome to the weekend and weather conditions will certainly be improving compared to what we saw on Friday. The heavy rain from yesterday is now just a memory after many locations saw anywhere from 1-1.5 inches of precipitation. Now an area of high pressure is taking over our weather for the weekend so look for dry conditions both Saturday and Sunday along with plenty of sunshine.
A couple points to keep in mind this weekend....first, there is a Coastal Flood Advisory in effect through 1:00 pm this afternoon for the potential of minor coastal flooding. High tide will occur in the 8:00 am hour on the ocean front and 1-2 hours later on the back bays. If you live in a normally flood prone area make sure you move your car to higher ground this morning. Also there is a Frost Advisory in effect overnight tonight for Cumberland, Atlantic, Eastern Burlington and Ocean Counties. Temperatures should drop into the lower 30s and widespread frost is likely. If you have plants sensitive to these temperatures make sure you protect them today before the cold settles in overnight tonight.
Have a great weekend South Jersey!!
