The rain has overspread the region and it will be with us right into the day on Friday. The National Weather Service has issued a Flash Flood Watch for all of South Jersey as we are expecting to see widespread rainfall totals of 2-3 inches, with pockets of higher totals up to 4 inches of rain. In addition, as the remnants of eta pass by our area later today winds will gust to over 30 mph along the coast just to add to the miserable day we already have. The heavy rain continues right through the night tonight and into the day on Friday before finally tapering off and coming to an end during Friday afternoon. Right now Halloween on Saturday looks dry and cool with highs in the 40s and lows in the 30s.
Be sure to give yourself extra time if you have to commute today. Heavy rainfall combined with fallen leaves will make for slippery conditions on the roads. In addition, remember not to drive through flooded roadways, the water could be deeper than you think. Be safe, grab the umbrella, and have a good Thursday!
