It is a chilly start to your Friday as temperatures this morning are in the upper 30s to lower 40s across South Jersey. However high pressure will bring us plenty of sunshine throughout the day so look for highs to rebound nicely, topping out right around 70 degrees this afternoon. Another nice day is on the way for Saturday and even warmer as we climb into the mid to upper 70s!
Hurricane Delta, which is expected to make landfall along the Gulf Coast tonight, will push precipitation in our direction by Sunday afternoon. So clouds increase during the day Sunday and I think we start to see showers breaking out by later in the day. Periods of rain are then likely Sunday night right through the day Monday as the remnants of Delta pass through out area. Right now it looks like we could see widespread rainfall totals of 1-2 inches when all is said and done, but make sure you catch Meteorologist John Isgro's forecast on Saturday for any possible changes to this rain event. Until then, enjoy the sunshine and have a great weekend!
